TF encrypted & CAPE PRIVACY
Learn more about building an AI-first technology startup on the Air Street Capital blog and our monthly analytical newsletter, Your Guide to AI.
The Research and Applied AI Summit (RAAIS) is a community for entrepreneurs and researchers who accelerate the science and applications of AI technology. In the lead up to our 5th annual event on June 28th 2019 in London, we’re running a series of speaker profiles to shed more light on what you can expect to learn on the day!
One of the most pertinent topics in AI today is that of data privacy, distributed training and encryption. To explore this critical thread of work, we’re excited to welcome Morten Dahl to RAAIS 2019! Morten works in privacy-preserving machine learning and is the creator of TF Encrypted, an open source project for integrating and experimenting with secure machine learning in TensorFlow. With a background in cryptography and privacy, Morten has spent recent years applying and adapting techniques from these fields to machine learning, focusing on practical tools and concrete applications in hope of making the field more accessible to practitioners.
Morten currently works as a research scientist at Cape Privacy a startup focused on building a platform for secure, privacy-preserving machine learning. He is an active maintainer of PPML News and member of the OpenMined community. Morten holds a PhD in Computer Science from Aarhus University focusing on secure multiparty computation, privacy, and symbolic analysis of cryptographic protocols.
You can find Morten on GitHub here, on his blog here, and you can read up on his research here.
