RAAIS 2023 Speakers

The Research and Applied AI Summit (RAAIS) brings together entrepreneurs and researchers who accelerate the science and applications of AI technology for the common good.

This flagship AI London event is presented by The RAAIS Foundation whereby all proceeds help to award research and project grants with a focus on communities that would otherwise not have a chance to participate in advancing AI.

Oliver is the Vice President of Product at Cruise, joining through the acquisition of Voyage. Cruise is building the world's most advanced self-driving vehicles to safely connect people with the places, things, and experiences they care about. Prior to Cruise, Oliver was the co-founder and CEO of Voyage.

VIVEK NATARAJAN

Research Scientist, Google Health AI

Vivek is a Research Scientist at Google Health AI advancing biomedical AI to help scale world class healthcare to everyone. Vivek is particularly interested in building foundation models for biomedical applications and leads the Google Deepmind moonshot behind Med-PaLM, Google's flagship medical large language model.

Research Scientist at Meta AI

Angela is a Research Scientist at Meta AI Research in New York, focusing on research in text generation. Currently, Angela works on language modeling. Recent projects include No Language Left Behind and Universal Speech Translation for Unwritten Languages. Before translation, Angela previously focused on research in on-device models for NLP and computer vision and text generation.

Director of Machine Learning, Intercom

Fergal is the Director of Machine Learning at Intercom. He has a PhD in machine learning, and has held ML roles at several high-growth startups.

Fergal has a track record of building engineering and product teams, bringing successful ML products from first prototype to substantial business revenue, and has spent the last 6 years leading Intercom's Machine Learning function.

SIDDHARTH KHULLAR

Senior Director, Machine Learning R&D at Northvolt

Sid is Senior Director, Machine Learning R&D at Northvolt, which is focused on the development of new battery chemistries and unlocking efficiencies for Giga-scale sustainable battery manufacturing.

Sid has developed a diverse background working at Apple, Microsoft Research, Eight Sleep, Quanttus and MIT. He’s worked on autonomous systems, AR/VR, machine learning, and health.

MICHAEL BRONSTEIN

DeepMind Professor of AI at the University of Oxford

Michael is the DeepMind Professor of AI at the University of Oxford. He is the recipient of the Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award, Royal Academy of Engineering Silver Medal, Member of the Academia Europaea, Fellow of IEEE, IAPR, and ELLIS.

Michael is also a serial entrepreneur and founder of startup companies, including Invision (acquired by Intel in 2012), Videocites, and Fabula AI (acquired by Twitter in 2019).

Eric Lander, Chief Scientist, Science for America. Lander is a member and was Founding Director of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard; Professor of Biology, MIT; and Professor of Systems Biology, Harvard Medical School (currently on academic leave). Former Presidential Science Advisor and Director, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy; Former Co-Chair, President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
