Karim Beguir is the CEO and Co-Founder of InstaDeep, creating AI systems to optimize and automate decision-making processes across a range of industries. Founded in 2014, InstaDeep has partnered with a range of leading global enterprises ranging from Google, NVIDIA, and Intel through to Deutsche Bahn, Europe’s largest rail operator.

The company gained particular recognition during the Covid-19 pandemic, after it partnered with BioNTech, the German immunotherapy company, to develop a successful early warning system for future variantas of the Sars CoV-2 virus. In 2023, InstaDeep was acquired by BioNTech for over half a billion dollars to support its research, drug discovery, manufacturing and deployment processes, while continuing to partner with other companies.

Before returning to Tunisia to start InstaDeep, Karim was a managing director at UBS in London. He holds degrees in Applied Mathematics and Economics from the École Polytechnique and New York University.
